Power 90 vs P90X – Overview of Power 90
Power 90 is an in home Fat burning and total-body sculpting fitness program focused on abs, thighs, and upper body. This program is designed to help you lose weight and get toned in just 90 Days. Power 90 was actually Beachbody’s first fitness program to air national television in 1995. I consider it to be the ‘baby’ version of p90X.
When I first started with Beachbody back on October 18th 2010, I started out with Power 90. I was 180lbs and a complete beginner. I had to start from somewhere and Power 90 was the perfect place for me to start. It was a 6 day a week program where I would work out form 30 – 40 minutes per day and replace 1 meal a day with Shakeology. I would alternate between 1 day Cardio and 1 day Strength Training. It was perfect for me and I always recommend this program for my beginners. As a results of this workout and my hard work and dedication, I lost 23lbs and 18 inches. I would truly happy with this program even though the music was kinda outdated. So, with that said, if you are going to try Power 90, be sure to wear your iPod or turn on your radio or CD player.

Power 90 vs P90X – Overview of P90X
P90X P90X is the EXTREME version of Power 90 and is a revolutionary system that constantly introduces new moves to challenge your muscles and give you extraordinary results. This program has 12 sweat-inducing, muscle-pumping workouts is designed to transform your body in just 90 days.
When I finished my first program with Power 90, I graduated to P90X. I have to be honest with you. At first I was a bit intimidated by this program. Everyone talked about how hard it was. But, I fell in love with it from Day 1. Since I had already pre-conditioned my body with Power 90, I was ready for something more challenging. Yes, P90x is challenging BUT, it’s really not as hard as I thought it was going to be. It was actually fun. I think that the only challenging part was working out for a FULL hour and P90X Yoga is 90 minutes long. WHOA!!! lol
Power 90 vs P90X, in my opinion, even a newbie can do the P90X program if and only if they do modifications and they start slow. For example: if a newbie starts out with this program, I would recommend to start off doing p90x with modifications and to cut each workout to 30 minutes instead of the full 60 minutes and just work your way up to the full 60 minutes. Overall, I love this program.
